This Friday, June 24th from 5-8 pm:

Letterpress at the Manzanita Farmer’s Market

We are lucky enough to have the MOVEABLE TYPE project make a stop at the Little Apple by the sea on Friday. Come try your hand at printing and be a part of the unlikely road trip being undertaken by Kyle Durrie of Power and Light Press.

in her own words:

“I’ve converted a 1982 Chevy step van into a fully functional letterpress print shop. I’ve outfitted the back of the truck with built-in cabinets and workspace, a sign press from the mid 20th century, and an 1873 Golding Official No. 3 tabletop platen press. I’ll spend the next nine or so months driving all over North America, teaching workshops, doing demos, and generally spreading the good word about printing the old fashioned way.”

the Manzanita Farmer’s Market located at 467 Laneda Avenue, in the Windermere parking lot.
